Question:

What is the best absinthe? what is the best way to get to my home in the u.s?

Answers:
The best absynth is from Prague, just go there and smuggle a bunch back like I did. I flirted with the guy who was checking my bag (yep I stooped that low, haha but it worked) so he wouldn't report that I had 4 bottles with me (passing through the USA en route to home in Canada). The stuff available in Canada is NOT the same, and not nearly as strong or good as the 'real' stuff. Be cautious with it, it's one of those drinks that if you sit down and drink it you don't feel drunk at all but if you get up to pee you realize you're hammered and so it begins.

Absinthe is made from wormwood very illegal in the US to import. Many brewers will not send to US because they could get seriously fined. You could make your own if you look online for recieps, but if you get caught ditilling absinthe in your home YOU WILL GO TO JAIL

It is legal in almost every other country now except the US. It is not illegal to possess or consume absinthe only illegal to sell it. (*)
I'd drive to Canada (I dont live far away) and try to smuggle it back. " do you have anything to declare?" "no sir"

You can go online and order it. It is technically illegal to import or possess, but isn't really prosecuted. Absinthe was a wormwood liquor that fell victim to a powerful wine industry around 1900. Prior to that it was a very popular drink, and an entire culture was developed around the presentation and consumption of absinthe. It is currently legal in many european countries, and a yahoo or google search can identify suppliers.

Best absinthe is a matter of preference, although the Jade line, the Duplais line and the 'Clandestine' line (each by a different company) are common favorites.

Remember absinthe is not a hallucinogen it wont make you trip or go crazy or any other myth out there, it is a liquor.

If you are traveling from somewhere the best way is to declare it as liquor or anise liquor. Absinthe is banned by the FDA and customs but is not an illegal substance. If found it will only be confiscated (as opposed to the large fines from lying to customs by doing things like hiding it in a different bottle).
