How do you get rid of the smell of spilled vodka in a carpet?!

Question:

How do you get rid of the smell of spilled vodka in a carpet?

Answers:
Once the alcohol has evaporated there should be very little smell - a standard carpet freshener should do the trick. Woolite makes a great foaming carpet cleaner/refresher.

This is a slippery slope. As a bartender I can attest that Vodka doesn't have a distinguishable smell. Next time you get a bottle, pop the top and take a whiff. This is one of the very few drinks we could get away with drinking on the job since our boss couldn't smell it on our breath. Perhaps your vodka was mixed with something else and THAT is what you're smelling. Or perhaps you perceive a medicinal smell and that could be attributed to the alcohol which evaporates extremely quickly when ventilated. Good luck
