Why is it that sometimes you cant stand the smell of an alcoholic drink the night after a big one on it?!
Answers: eg...had a messy night on Jager...from the morning after until now i still cant even stand the smell of it...Why? and is there a cure to this repulsion lol? i want to get back on the jager train! ;)
A defense mechanism in your brain via smell is warning you to stay away from the product that messed you up. Jager is some wild stuff. 20 years ago I drank large quantities of Jager and Long Island Ice Teas and puked massively. To this day I can't drink either. I can however drink other alcohol that has also made me sick but not to the level of the night I drank Jager and LIIT's. If your body can't stand drinking it move on to another choice because you can't fool the brain.
Just give jager another chance.. it misses you.
It is because your body knows it is "bad" and wants you to stay away from it. But we can't!!! Give it a day or two and you will be able to do it again!
Or hold your nose and do it anyway!
Everytime it's happened to me it went away eventually.
One thing you could try is just having a few other drinks to "warm up"......then it should be easier to drink Jager again.
You need to Detox for a few days to get it out of your system . Next time drink a lot of water and eat before , during and after and you wont feel so bad.
I believe in 'hair of the dog that bit you.'
Alcohal is the last thing I want to see when I'm hungover but one time my dad practically forced rum and coke down my throat when I was super hungover and man does it ever help. Beer mixed with tomato juice is the best hangover cure.
There is actually a science to it similar to using warm water (instead of cold) to treat a burn. The reason is because the body goes into survival mode and tries to rehydrate itself too quickly. This rehydration process is what causes the pain of a hangover. Having a beer the next morning will cause the process to slow down a little bit and the pain practically melts away. Smoking a joint helps too as it's a natural painkiller.
