I just can't help but laugh when I talk about someone getting, "thumped", in a bar?!

Question: Yes, he was making trouble, but one's basic instinct, when being attacked or in a dilemma with a drunken person, is to put them out, just like a rabbit, or a fish when you try to get the hook out of it's mouth. It is going to bite you,, so in the heat of passion you thump the thing in the back of its head. At least my experience in a bar... I'd prefer the Opium den, or getting stoned at an outdoor concert, but.... one can't always have things their way...
