Answers: I was watching that 70's show and it got me curious.

Who cares as long as it tastes good and gets you drunk /merry /happy or just relaxed

why is the sky blue?

Not a clue; even the dictionary says it is of "ambiguous origin".

how do they make up anythings name. maybe the guys last name was beer that discovered it

maybe it was pronounced differently and over the years the phonics changed? who really knows??

From the old english word Beor, and latin word Bibo translating to "I Drink"

Because "ambrosia" was already taken.

Beer: is a derivative word of beor (Old English) and is based on the monastic term of biber "a drinking of beverage" which in turn is borrowed from the Latin word bibere which means "to drink" or imbibe.

It is also believed that the word could be a derivative of the German word for barley - beuwo. The German word for beer being "bier."
