I did a paper on this in college. Sift through the info, some of it is bound to be from different sources. I had to include a personal interview, so I talked to the alcohol abuse counselor at the college. He was very willing to help me. Don't be afraid, you'll probably find the same attitude.

I got dinged on my draft, let me tell you why. At the time I was an ultra religious person. I wrote the paper saying if you drank alcohol, all these bad things would happen. My teacher was smarter then that however, and gave me a D- on my draft. Drinking alcohol is NOT bad. In fact, during your research you might come across some info that says a couple glasses of wine a day is good for you. There is a difference between USE and ABUSE. USING alcohol is fine, it can even be healthy. ABUSING alcohol is bad, and you should seek help.

Good luck with your paper.

Try this
National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)
Offers news, publications, general information, databases, and other resources on alcohol abuse.
www.niaaa.nih.gov

Call your local AA and see if someone there would be willing to speak to you about it. Please be respect full even if they choose not to help. Good Luck.

This seems really interesting and may give some other perspectives in relation to age.
