How does wine taste for a first taster and Whats the best wine to drink?!

Question: whats best red or white?

Answers: whats best red or white?

Java Joe has it right! A good first wine for most folks is riesling and there are plenty of nice ones that don't cost a fortune.

If you can't stand that just yet, try a muscadine wine or white zinfandel. It's how a lot of folks get started in wine - lol

Beringer white zinfandel is better than the more popular Sutter Home... so start there and work your way drier and darker :)

Salut!

For wine, especially if you're new to it, you should stick to the sweet or fruity whites and roses. Very rarely have I found a person likes a dry red wine if they're completely new to it.

The way it normally works for people is:

Sweet rose or white wine.
Fruity white or rose wine.
Dry white wine.
Fruity red wine.
Dry red wine.

Well, I havn't had a lot of wine but my husband actually took a class on it. It depends on what you are eating. You could probably go online and see some advice of what people drink with cirtain foods. It's crazy, but some people taste wine for a living so i'd look it up online.

I agree with java joe. Personally however I am one of those who prefered reds pretty much right off. Here is one of many websites that describe a lot about wines. Its very nice to know the basics and it can be overwhelming at first with all the choices. Dont worry too much about this at first as knowledge will come with the more wines you try. The people at many wine stores are usually very knowledgeable about what you might want to try and what to pair different wines with.

More importantly remember to keep trying different ones as a "good one" can easily be passed by another that you may have failed to try.
