You can mix wine if it's for personal home use. (would be a bit tacky if you did it for company)
However, first mix a little bit together and then mix to taste that way if it does taste disgusting you haven't just wasted 2 bottles of wine. And by the way, you can even add a little bit of white wine if you want :)

There are many blended wines, so if you want to make your own blend, go for it. Price has got nothing to do with it. You bought it, you can drink it anyway you want.

Never, ever mix wine. It comes across as cheap, plus each wine has its own attributes which will be all off balance in the mixture.

Some of the most famous wines are mixed. Take Burgundy, it's a mix of Merlot, Cab Sav, and Carmenere. Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion is also a blended wine, which is a pretty good white wine actually.

I would say try a little bit of the mix, start with like 1oz of the dry and 1/2oz of the sweet, and if that's not sweet enough, keep adding sweet. Hopefully by super cheap you don't mean MD20/20, in which case it's not a wine (in my book) so don't mix it.

BTW, dry red wine is becoming more and more popular in China. Except the chinese can't stand drinking it straight, for the most part, and have come up with many wine mixed drinks. They buy wine because its viewed as a status symbol since its more Western, and thus indicative of affluence.

No, please no.

I am begging you to try and enjoy the dry red.

Try this....put it in a big red wine glass, swirl it like crazy, and stick your nose right down in the glass and take a huge whiff.

OK, go ahead I am waiting.................................

Now taste.

How's that, did it mellow it out a little?

Don't forget...it's just grape juice. Mix ém match ém as long as you enjoy them.

It is your wine; you can do anything you like with it! – I enjoy good expensive red wines; I age them in wine coolers, use decanter, I drink them out of the appropriate wine glass and would never mix them.

Wine is only good if you enjoy it. The big thing is, “would it make you sick”, and we all know that answer is no. I know people that mix 7 up in wine and call it a sparkling wine. Because I don’t, does not make it bad. If you want to mix them, then go for it. One last note - once a bottle is open, don’t try to reseal it… that does not work.
