if you're just starting to drink, go with an alabama slammer or something of the sort. This way, when people want to do shots with you...you can do vodka shots and not mix liquors...that is key..DO NOT MIX!!!

i had my 21st and i don't like the taste of alcohol at all, my husband told me to try ameretto sours, they are AWESOME!! They have ameretto, sprite and sweet and sour mix. they are very good. there was another drink i had that was called a tie died long island iced tea, it had like 16 different kinds of alcohol in it. it was good though. have fun and be safe on your 21st!
If your celebrating your bday , i'd say beer with your friends is a good combination but drink moderately. You can take the hard liquor and cocktails some other time perhaps in a pub or formal parties. Happy Birthday!

Its better to drink less and be able to remember the night then it is to get totally smashed and not remember anything
I like you and for that reason i am going to advise you to not drink at all, it is bad for your health :D
Seriously, I would first not go with anything sweet. That will give you a major hangover. Do not mix between beer and hard alcohol or switch out alcohols. I would go with something like Jack and Coke, or Gin and Tonic. Or 7 and 7. They are all yummy and if you drink a more expensive alcohol, the less chance you will have a hangover. (Although a hangover on your 21st is a RITE of PASSAGE ;0) )

BTW- White russians are VERY easy to drink. Vodka, Kahlua and cream. If you want something that is easy on the tastebuds.
