I have managed bars and resaurant for 25 years....in that time I have hired only one bartender who went to school or taken a course on bartending..... He was the worst bartender that i ever had..... If you are looking to bartend as a job, start as a barback or server....odds are that if you do a good job, and learn to pour while you serve, you will get promoted to bartender in no time at all.
