When level of drinking(beer) is "socially" what does it mean?&what is a diffrent between occasionaly&socially?!
Answers: i know that the level of drinking are this 5 level no,socially, occasionally, regurly, heavily i want to know that when some one says that level of his/her drinking is socially .in this case what is a meaning of socially? and what is a diffrence between socially and occasionally?
Drinking socially is when you only drink when you go out with others to celebrate, or for special occasions like birthday parties, holidays, etc. Occasionally is more often - when you have a beer not to toast a special occasion, but just because it sounds good with the pizza you're having tonight, or whatever.
Hope this helps.
Many people say they're "social drinkers". Many times it's much more complicated than that and they're beyond "social drinking".
not much, although 'socially' would suggest you only drink in the company of others - where as 'occasionally' you might be home alone knocking them back.
The implication is a 'social' drinker doesn't over do it, but in reality this doesn't pan out. Social drinking covers a wide range of behaviour from having a glass of wine occasionally with friends to 'needing to have a drink in every social situation' - which is getting close to addictive behaviour.
- your milage may vary.
hope that helps.
They say anything over two drinks an hour in binge drinking. Really who only has two drinks an hour and remember thats not counting shots. Drink what you want and how much just remmeber don't drive. Socially refers to one - two drinks a week where occasionaly is like a couple times a month. My grandma used to say "Never trust a man who doesn't drink" Remember everything in moderation. Moderation is key to everything.
Believe it or not......did you know that after sitting around drinking for a while and then you say to yourself, " Boy, I probably had enough"..... the very next drink after that is downhill from there! That is the way your brain protects you from all the alcohol. There is no certain level for anyone, it depends on you weight and tollerance how many years you have been drinking. Just listen your your brain. Even if you just thought about it and wondering if you should have another, that's when you answered your own question.
i would say social drinking is either when
you go out once in awhile and have a couple of drinks with friends i.e. socially, and generally for a special occasion.
or
you do it as an activity - like social soccer - that you do regularly with friends to bond or to pass the time
it can be both.
Sounds like more BS some guy in a suit or a lab coat made up so they can rationalize irrational things. Social drinking, or being a social drinker, is when you drink around people plain and simple. A heavy drinker could very easily be a social drinker and a occasional drinker could be as well.
