Is alcohol supposed to burn your throat?!

Question: because I have never experienced that

Answers: because I have never experienced that

Hard liquor, yes. Here's a tip: if it's burning, you aren't drinking for the enjoyment of the beverage.

yeah.

some does. i am underage but i have heard that whiskey burns. beer or wine doesnt though

yes

Alcohol is an organic poison. It can have a caustic effect on many things especially mucus tissue.

NO----------------TOP CHEF

you're cute. :) yes, alcohol can burn your throat, or your nose if you laugh while taking a shot. I don't recommend that though. ouch!

Well, it's not 'supposed' to burn...it just does. Stronger concentrations (hard liquor, etc.) burn more. Beer doesn't normally (because it's relatively weak) and sweet liqueurs are less harsh (the sugar masks the burn).

No they dont burn they just make your throat dry.

it is supposed to fry your brain cells, ruin your liver and mess up your life. So I guess that was enough for me not to drink. some need more proof until they ruin their life and health and everything to quit the stuff. I call it poison. I think that is why bartenders say "What's your poison?
