A light coloured bitter beer. It was originally brewed in the UK to send to india as just a pale ale, in the days of the Raj but it didn't survive the voyage very well. Then an enterprising brewer started adding large quantities of hops to it, and found it kept much better and so was still palatable after the journey.

Look for some good IPAs, but forget green king IPA, it's not that good.

in singapore? go to brewerks. its at clarke quay. you should go!! its good beer
