Question:

What does dry community mean??AND how does dry community regard alcohol use?

Answers:
Dry community means that it is illegal to sell alcohol there.

Generally, they are ok with drinking, you just have to drive to a non-dry county to buy your alcohol.

Although I would suspect that they frown on public drinking and you have to result to "hiding" your beer in a cup where your neighbors can't see what your drinking.

Personally, I would be afraid of the bible thumpers and would not move to a dry community.

That means you live with a bunch of hypocrites and will never have a nice restaurant close by.

I live in a dry city, basically none of the grocery stores sell alcohol, however many/most of the restaraunts serve liquor if you have a unicard. You of course cannot take any drinks out of the restaraunt but there are 2-4 cities nearby (less than 5 min away) where we can go and purchase alcohol.

no alcohol sold in the community . as far as regarded just depends on who you ask. and there are bars in dry counties and stuff you have to have a membership they are"private" clubs

We used to be a dry county and you would have to drive about 15 mile to the next county to buy and any type of alcohol. You could buy alcohol in certain restaurants but you had to buy a year membership first. Now that a petition was passed to make our county wet, we now can buy beer and wine at any convenient store but hard liquor still has to be bought at liquor store.
