Need a coffee mug that keeps coffee warm for a while?!

Question: do you want a MUG or a THERMOS?

If you want a MUG, then I would suggest one which is very heavy. Fill it with water, and heat it for 90 seconds in the microwave before pouring in your coffee. The preheated mug will hold coffee hot for about 20 minutes. I happen to prefer the heavy DINER MUG. It fits the hand really nice and looks good!

If you want a thermos, any vaccum insulated thermos will do. Some are glass lined, some are not. If you will be dropping it or is in a rugged area, I would suggest one without a glass liner. These vaccum insulated thermosi will hold coffee piping hot (when filled up) for upwards of 24 hours. The more it holds, the longer it will stay hot. Simple physics about heat & mass.

Nissan Stainless Thermoses are the best that I've found. Here's an example: http://www.amazon.com/Nissan-FBB1000-Sta...

They do make smaller mugs that you can drink straight out of, but they don't keep coffee hot quite as long (they advertise 3-4 hours as opposed to 12-24 hours, but that's probably still plenty long for the average person).

They make a carafe that they advertise keeps hot beverages hot for 12 hours. From experience, I have found that the coffee is still steaming after about 36 hours! I would guess that just about any product they make will keep coffee hot through a normal work day. Just make sure it is a vacuum insulated type bottle.

Starbucks or Target has great ones (plastic) w/ a lid that you can decorate with pictures on the side of the cup..... that's just the extra perks but yeah it keeps my coffee warm and i had mine for years - I'm a coffeeholic!

My roomate has one that's the best!!!! It's a travel mug made by Brugo. Check em out at www.brugomug.com
