Would it be safe to drink an old beer unopened for 20 plus years?!

Question: Northern Territory Draught called Darwin Stubbie

Answers: Northern Territory Draught called Darwin Stubbie

Ignore eveyone who said it can make you sick. NO harmful bacteria can live in beer. As long as the container was sealed, it's essentially fine.
Also, many beers DO age... depends on the beer itself and the conditions it was kept in.
It's never a bad idea to test a vintage beer - it could be an amazing experience!
The worst that could happen is it may be slightly flat, metallic, skunky (if the beer was struck by light), or show other off-flavors - none of which are harmful, just mildly unpleasant.
Give it a go! Cheers!

open it and smell. you'll know. honestly i don't think it could hurt you but it could be real unpleasant.

I wouldn't....lol

It won't hurt you because it's been sealed, but it will be skunky and very bitter.

no it wouldent be the same you will get sick

i dont think it would be good!

broke @$#% drunk

A Darwin stubbie, yeah I know them, I don't think it will taste real flash, beer doesn't age like wine, it's too yeasty!
Any true blooded Aussie would have to give it a go!!
Good luck!!

I would,nt chance it, keep it as a souvenir.

It will be safe to drink - but it will be incredibly nasty. Good luck if you want to drink it.

It would be gross and might make you sick. It's probably collectable, it you want a beer that bad I'm sure you could sell that one to a collector and get some fresh beer.
