Why do people get drunk?!
Answers: i dont drink at all.
i don't drink myself either and im 18 and in college i never have drank before. i can have fun without having alcohol in my system. i really don't see the point in getting so drunk that you can't remember what happened people really need to know their limits. i'll be hanging out with them and they've been drinking they think that they're being funny but they're really not and they just look like kind of stupid half the time but not all the time because sometimes the stuff they do is kind of funny lol.
Because they think that, that is the only way to have fun.

I guess they like the feeling of being "buzzed." I can't imagine getting completely *drunk* though--I don't get that at all. I don't like the feeling of losing control of myself, what I say, and what I do. I don't want to look like an a** in the light of day.

It's an attempt to boost their rock bottom self-esteems and is also their way to hide their anger management shortfalls.

Because people don't always know their limits. We drink to relax and have a good time... and before we know it.... we're hammered. It didn't start out that way, it just happened.
People drink because they like the taste.... or they like the feeling of being disoriented. As long as they're not driving, they're not much of a threat to anyone.
Kudos to you for not drinking. No one ever said you HAD to drink to have a good time. In fact, it's sometimes fun to watch people drink and make absolute fools of themselves. At least when YOU wake up in the morning, you won't feel ill and you won't hear the spiders stomping across the ceiling.
they thinks its fun and makes them fit in wit the others but if u ask me which u sorta did its not fuun to be so drunk u cant see straight and be taken advantage of
because its to numb there problems or something bothering them or its socially and for fun

because they can. naturally people like to feel good and alcohol has the ability. also i think more people drink b/c its legal. imagine if heroin or cocaine was legal and alcohol wasnt.
Why do people do anything?? They get some sort of pay off for them to continue doing whatever it is they do. Some people like the way that alcohol makes them feel. Some people hate it and some have never tried it and that's perfectly fine! I like relaxing with a glass of wine every now and then. Of course there are people who take it to the extreme and get wasted all the time and those who have a drink first thing in the morning. There is a big difference between those who do it every once in awhile to those who go on binges or are alcoholics. I don't peg people who don't drink as being prudes or sticks in the mud. It seems, however, that people who don't drink tend to judge people who do drink, as a bunch of blithering morons with no self esteem which is not true. I can have fun drunk or sober. They are just different kinds of fun. ;-)

it can turn an ordinary night into a fun night,
and makes it easier to communicate with people...
I drink just so i can anger the non-drinkers! What better entertainment is there????
