What is Cacha?a?
Pronounced "KA SHA SA", cacha?a is made from sugar cane plant like rum. The major difference is rum is usually made from molasses, a by-product from refineries that boil the cane juice to extract as much sugar crystals as possible. It is made from fresh sugarcane juice that's fermented and distilled.

History
Cacha?a is the national spirit of Brazil. It is also the key ingredient in Brazilian traditional cocktail, caipirinha.

Caipirinhas and other tropical cocktails are usually made with un-aged Cacha?a. Until now, the only Cacha?a available in the US were some of Brazil's most ordinary, which sell for $1-$3 US in Brazil.
Aged cachaca
Aged cachaca come in shades ranging from gold to amber and deserve to be sipped, like a fine tequila or single malt Scotch. In Brazil, artesian Cacha?a sell anywhere between $15 to $400 per bottle. Excalibur Enterprise produces handcrafted, artisan Cacha?as and they are available in the U.S. market.

I LOVE Cachaca. It's soon to be the hot new Rum in the U.S. The Capainha made with Cachaca is amazing. For sure you need to get licensed for export into the U.S. Tons of money to be made in this arena.
