Michigan's bottle return policy:A chance for riches?!

Question:

Michigan's bottle return policy:A chance for riches?

Under the michigan plastic and aluminum deposit law($.10 for each soda bottle or can ), I've gotten a large amount of money by picking up people's cans off the street(more than $200 at one time). Is there a festival or celebration soon where a lot of people are going to attend and just throw their bottles and cans in the garbage (in southeast michigan). If not, then what would be a good excuse to ask people for their empty cans?
