What Can I use Vermouth in?!

Question:

What Can I use Vermouth in?

Is it used in a martini and if so what kind?

Answers:
It depends on the kind of Vermouth you use. Dry is generally used in martinis. The best use of sweet Vermouth is in Sangria. You can also use sweet Vermouth in marinades.

vodka or gin, the more you use, the dryer the martini. Don't use more than just a dash.

I used to tend bar...I usually just used vermouth in martini's and manhattans....Sweet vermouth in the manhattan, and dry in the martini...

Try red vermouth and whiskey, It's a Manhattan, And it gives you a pretty decent Buzz. CHEERS

No. A dry martini is without vermouth. A wet martini contains vermouth. Sweet in Manhattans (yum!) and dry with gin or vodka.

Martini and it is the dry white vermouth.

Exactly, the less vermouth you use in a martini the dryer it is. But everyone's pretty much got it; Martini is gin w/dry vermouth & an olive...Gibson is the same with an onion instead of an olive...Dry Martini is gin w/the tiniest splash of dry vermouth & an olive....Manhattan is whiskey w/sweet vermouth & a cherry...so on and so forth. Any drink made 'perfect' like a perfect manhattan would have both dry and sweet vermouth & a lemon twist.

Also you can use it in cooking like with scallops.
