Help with making a margarita?!

Question: My blender that grinds up ice is broken, so I need another way to make a frozen drink. I don't want regular ice cubes.

My question is, if I make the margarita and then put it in the freezer, will it become slushy? I'm not sure if alcohol freezes.

If you find the right amount of alcohol you can put it in the freezer and you will get a perfect slushy. In fact, you may even find you like the consistency more than the blended kind. I find that the equivalent of a fairly strong drink turns out the best. Here is a recipe that I have used in the past (this would require a blender for the frozen strawberries)

750 ml Tequila
1 bag frozen strawberries (600g) that have been pureed with some of the liquid ingredients.
1 can Lime-aid concentrate
2 lime-aid cans of lemon lime soda
2 lime-aid cans of water

It takes at least 48 hours to freeze in the freezer. You can play around with different juices/boozes/fruits (fresh or frozen) and you will find the possibilities are endless. When I am making mixed drinks with fruit juices I'll throw some in a Tupperware in the freezer to see how it turns out and 3 out of 4 time the frozen is even better than the original.

It should....but, got a hammer for that ice? Wrap the cubes in a towel and just crush them....we used to make snowballs that way.

not sure if it will become slushy but 100% alcohol will not freeze.Try an long Island ice tea

no. tequila does not freeze. you need ice to make a frozen drink.

Crush the ice anyway you can. Shake in a cocktail shaker.
USE FRESH LIME JUICE

Margaritas are way better served the classically

No not going to work, Just freeze the glasses and have it cold. No blender no slushies.

the classic Marguerite is not a frozen drink. make it in a container with plenty of ice and strain it into a chilled glass and enjoy
