Absinthe does not make you hallucinate per say. If you get the real thing and drink enough (3-4 properly prepared drinks) you will feel a different buzz.

It has more euphoria and causes the world to look a little more perfect. Its not exactly a hallucination its more subtle than that its like what the world would look like if everything was a beautiful as it could be.

I suppose I would describe it as a change in perception as opposed to a hallucination.

I will say this though. I no longer drink regular alcohol. I find it painfully inferior to absinthe.

Nope. I've drank it plenty of times; a producer I worked with once was a big fan of the stuff and regularly had it imported. Neither he, nor any of the people he'd plied with it, had ever hallucinated. I never have either. It IS a nice happy buzz, though, isnt it?

i don't about absentine? is it missing?

I just get blurry vision.

I would mark this one up to urban legend. They say if you eat the worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle (in Mexico) you will hallucinate. They say drinking Jagermeister (in Germany) it will make you hallucinate. I don't think any of these liquors makes you "see" strange things. But, they will make you "do" strange things.
However, if you drink long enough and hard enough to get the delirium tremmens (DTs), then you will hallucinate. So, if you look at it this way, Absentine will do the trick.

Are you talking about Absinthe or Absente the latter is devoid of Thoujione the active ingredient in absinthe .That being said I have drank Absinthe before and never had hallucinations but it was more than just being drunk. It felt like my mind was clear and it was more intense than being drunk it also took longer to wear off than just being drunk.
