Any good cognac is pretty good. My favorite is Grand Mariner with ice to smoke with a cigar.

obviously good whiskey. 18 year jameson, redbreast, or if you can get your hands on it greenspot directly from ireland.
as for the cigars: romeo and julieta are a favorite of mine. monte cristo is a good default.

Any Padron 1964 Anniversario cigar and a 12yr old Glendronach single malt (neat)
a good glass of Merlot and a Black and Mild Wine cigar.they are so great,you will enjoy it.

I'm a novice cigar aficionado.
But I think a good beer, especially micro-brew is better than any hard or mixed drink.
A suggestion on brands, try Cusano if you haven't already.
IMHO they are just as good as Macanudos, Cohiba, or even H. Upmann (my old favorites)
