Not strange...the buzz going around is that you don't drink as much, as fast with a little skinny cocktail straw...they might be practicing that little nugget. Slowing down drinks is a good thing. Not everyone wants to get drunk.

No. I consider them to be more of a gentleman. You don't see it in a sports bar when guys are belting it back and yelling at football, but it's not unusual to see it in a martini bar or upscale restaurant when the guy is wearing a suit.
