Try a Sapporo (it is a Japanese beer, made with rice instead of barley).

Sounds good to me! Report It

No such thing. Stick with mixed drinks. Beer is an acquired taste.

Stella Artois is the biz, they don't call it wife beater for nothing!
    LOL....

Smirnoff ice, zima, mikes hard ... etc. These are flavored malted beers that don't taste like beer.

why do u want to make yourself drink something u dont like? have u tried cider? very refreshing on a hot summer day. u can have sweet cider.. a bit sickly , or dry cider. i like Strongbow. in fact will have a glass now. cheers.

You might well like German wheat beers -- the classic is Hefeweizen, which should be cloudy (much as real lemonade is) because it's not highly filtered. It has a lovely smooth, very slightly sweet, spice-edged kind of flavour.
Another possible choice would be one of the light ("blond") Belgian beers such as Duvel (light in colour and taste that is, not light in alcohol!) or Grimbergen.

Steer clear of bitter; but do try some of the English summer ales, too.
Yet another unusual but gorgeous beer is Liefman's Kriek -- it's a cherry beer, from the Belgians again, who are masters at all sorts of lip-smacking fruit beers.

If you haven't got a good off-licence near you and aren't planning a weekend in Belgium, Waitrose has the widest range of beers of any of the supermarkets. That's if you're in the UK... which I realise you may not be! But you should be able to get find all but perhaps the Liefman's throughout the beer-drinking world.

    Cheers!

The bitterness in beer is actually from the hops, not the barley. If you are looking for a 'not so bitter' beer, I would recommend something like a sweet stout, or some lagers aren't too hoppy.
Some low bitterness brews I personally enjoy are Sam Adam's Cream Stout, Light, and Winter Lager.
You might also try some of the wheat beers out there. The wheat generally leads to a somewhat sweeter brew.
If all else fails, check out http://www.beeradvocate.com and find one you think sounds good.

Try Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Its downright tasty! Also try Lindemanns Belgian Lambic, a dessert beer that has flavors in peach, raspberry, black cherry and currants. It is stronger than most beer, but oh so frickin' sweet, so much so that I get teased for drinking it. Or try Melbourne Bros Strawberry (or Peach) Ale, another sweet treat. Or try Pyramid Apricot Ale, which has a great flavor but is still "beer-y".

Note to mazdaman: Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer is only available...during Oktoberfest. Kinda frustrating if the asker was asking about a beer they want to try NOW....

As the poster above me said, Sam Adams. Actually, almost anything Sam Adams. Sam Adams Light is very good, and I dont normally drink light beer.

You can try pyramid apricot weizen, Guinness draught, Sam Adams Oktoberfest...those are all pretty good without being super bitter.

Or you can get the low-flavor beers too, like bud, coors, high life, keystone, those aren't bitter at all

Becks beer.Very nice in moderation. GARRY

    Coors Light.

Strawberry Blonde, Lambic Frambroise (raspberry), Dixie White Moose, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, Hoegaarden with a lemon or Blue Moon with an orange!! If you don't like these, you are just not a beer drinker. Switch to mixed drinks!!

Sorry, but I can't drink beer. I am allergic to barley. As a matter of fact, I don't drink any alcoholic beverages at all. Too many medical problems.

Try Blue Moon! It's very light and I love them!!

I never was big on beers however there are a few that I have decided aren't so bad. Hef with a lemon is great. My favorite is Blue Moon with and orange....I don't know what it is about that beer but it's taste. You'll find that the Blue Moon is hard to find in dive bars. Good luck, I know how you feel.

A lot depends on where you are and where you will shop for beer. Stay away from anything made by the bud family except for maybe a micky light. I know nothing about foreign beers so some of the other people will tell you better about them. For domestic just try a few light beers is all i can suggest. coors, miller, micholob or zima or the like. Just have to try to find your taste. also stay away from mexician beers.

spotted cow or bud light is what i like

Guinness or Murphy's, it's like chocolate milk!
