I'd drink a white within six months (if unopened and stored on it's side). If you opened it and put it in the fridge, I'd drink it within a couple days. If you store it upright and it's a corked bottle, keep in mind that refridgeration can dry out the cork and allow air in, so it's always best to store corked wine on its side.

Yes, Yes, and Yes,...Wine lives and rest at room temperature. It can be chill in the fridge, however, you can not store at room temperature after chilling.

I don't know what you mean by "cellar room" temperature, but regular room temperature KILLS wine, opened or not. Wine should be stored ideally at 55 degrees, or less (a fridge is about 45, which is fine). Colder temps will slow the aging process. You can go between 45 and 55 and back again all you want.
