The answer to this is Don't.
The reason for rolling papers is becasue they are thin and won't cause you to choke on the paper smoke (as Bad)
Also, they will bend, crease and twist better than regular paper.
Next, thiner paper will not as likely produce a flame, but rather a smoldering ash (cherry) prefered when smoking.
Last, they are pre-gummed so they will stick when you lick them.

But as a former smoker, and not to be preachy, the answer is still....DON'T. It would be better that you crush this desire before it costs you much more than money.

Buy proper cigarette papers.
It is practise to get them tight, or buy a rolling machine.
Rolling tobacco doesn't have the additives that ready rolled have, to keep them burning.
Edit
Use filters, they make them less harsh on the throat

okay first ovall you cant roll nothing with regular paper you need a cigar or a cigarolla to roll something

use rolling paper
and pre roll it in your fingers
crease back the glue edge
pinch firmly and roll back and forth
to keep the tobacco even
lick and stick and smoke

who are you fooling? a tobacco 'joint' is called a cigarette.... the fact you put the word tobacco in there only means you know you shouldn't be making marijuana joints and are too dumb to know how.
