Do you drink alcohol with blood pressure medication?!

Question: Or have you?

Answers: Or have you?

Alcohol is a central nervous system depressent, so it will tend to slow blood pressure.

Blood pressure meds are intended to do just that, to slow blood pressure.

So doing both *could* slow blood pressure enough to kill you.

Be careful, I agree that one drink is prolly fine, but a bunch is dangerous.

I mix it with everything, so sure. If it increases the buzz, why not.

I would think not. It should say on the warning label in your prescription

I wouldn't recommend it, you could die from the combination of alcohol to medication.

my sistters hubby does, and she will be 1/4 mill . richer soon! he isn't suppose to, and she tells him day after day not to. he will die from it, not the blood pressure. I never wish anyone to die, but if he don't stop, he will from the meds and the alcohol. 2 downers just make life ok for him i guess.

No , That is dangerous.

I have, but alcohol increases your blood pressure, so too much alcohol will make your heart feel like it is pounding out of your chest.

It's not a good combination, but one drink or glass of wine won't hurt you.

add a line of coke and you have how you were conceived

I recently discussed this with a dr.
Take it easy! Some wine,a beer, OK! A couple mixed drinks, not ok!
Take meds in morning, drink in evening, and above all, do not drive.

check the warning label on the bottle. i dont think you should though

This is truly a STOOPID question!

No way

No don't need blood pressure meds, and I don't think it would be safe to try.

1 glass of red wine (DR said this is OK)

You can drink alcohol with anything...whether it's a bad idea or not...more than likely. My friend started taking a blood pressure medicine and drinks heavily. His blood pressure dropped really low and had to go to the hospital. So take that into consideration.

It thins out your blood a lot. Be Careful.

yes, i do

only 2 glasses a day
doesn't matter what,

2 beer or 2 wine or 2 whisky or 2.....

got it??
