Answers:
If drinking it is not appealing to you, use it for cooking.
It probably tastes like vinegar by now. The rule of thunb, is to drink same day.
Yes you can drink it for sure.
YES YOU CAN ONLY DRINK IF YOU BUTT CHUG IT
OH YEAH!!!!!!!!
If you put the cork back in it, you could keep the wine for up to 3 days. A lot of red wines actually need to be opened for several hours before you drink it (to get the best flavor). The cheaper the wine, the less time it will keep.
Yes you can drink it. If it is a good wine it will last a while. I'm the only one who drinks wine, so I understand!
Yes, as long as the cork's in it. You can still drink it without the cork, but it might not taste as good.
Yes. It's not like it spoiled like milk would.
It won't taste like vinegar yet, as the first post suggests.
If it was recorked, the wine will probably be quite a bit more mellow than it was when opened. Some of the elements of it may have disappeared.
If it wasn't recorked, then it will probably be somewhat flat tasting - meaning unbalanced and unexciting.
Red wine generally stays palatable for 2-3 days after opening it. That is, if it's corked and left out of the fridge. After that, it will still be drinkable, but it won't taste like much.
Red wines need to be opened and allowed to "breathe" (be exposed to air) prior to drinking, unlike whites. As long as you re-corked it, it will not be as stale. If you did not re-cork it or seal it, it may be stale, but if you don't mind the taste then you can certainly still drink it. It would also be good to cook with.
If you have a hard time finishing a whole bottle of wine, try this gadget. It is a wine bottle sealer and relly helps keeps wines fresh for days! Great investment for the minimal cost.
You "can" but it may not taste as good as before, depending on the type of wine.
I'm the only one in my home that drinks it and I can't cook Italian food without it. I almost always end up throwing away an almost full bottle.
A friend of mine gave me a vacuum seal for Christmas a few years ago and I've found the wine lasts much longer when I use that, rather than the cork.
I work at a winery where we do wine tastings. We keep wine (after it has been opened) for up to 8 days. On the 9th day, we toss it out.
yes its fine, bars leave there red wine open for longer than that. the cork is still on right?
You can or cook with it
