Answers: I love nonfat caramel machiattos! Yum yum!
coffee straight up with a shot of Espresso
white chocolate mochas with whipped cream
Try something simple, like a Cappuchino... especially if you like milk!
Here is a link to a site called "Starbucks Menu Simplified" it explains pretty much everything.

I love a nice cafe au lait w/ some cocoa.
Its drip coffee (light blend for me) with some steamed milk - usually 3/4 coffee, 1/4 milk and some cocoa for some flavor.
It's so good and not so sweet that you'l wanna die at 6:30 in the morning.
i like white chocolate mochas.
they taste like coffee
but they arent to strong.
just the right amount of coffee flavor!!
Unless you're trying to be pompous just order "regular" coffee and add cream and sugar as necessary. There is NO reason you have to drink a "specialty" coffee even if you're at Starbucks or similar establishment. Usually they'll have a "coffee of the day".
Spending your money on bizarre coffee drinks at these places is a good way to insure you don't have any. Have a look at this link where the author estimates saving of $650/year by not drinking at Starbucks. While it speaks of saving for a house the idea is the same - you save money that can be used on something else.
if you don't mind calories and fat---A Carmel Macchiatto at Starbucks, Atlantic Bread, and most Book Stores, carry it. I have made them at home, but not as good. Top it off with whip cream and sprinkle some Cinnamon or chocolate (white) over the top, It is better than a dessert!!! and more fat grams, but well worth the treat, just don't get hooked, I did for three years, had to have a daily fix, and they cost about 4-5.00 US for a Grande, but they really do taste great.
For home use Lady Godiva coffees, chocolate raspberry, is to die for, sold at expensive stores on on line, Belks, PX, etc,,
Happy drinking!
EDIT---Caramel Macchiato --Basically, a vanilla latte with a bit less vanilla and extra foam, and with gooey, yummy caramel sauce drizzled on top. If it doesn't taste sweet enough when you first try it, mix it up a bit. If it's still not sweet enough, ask for more vanilla -- Iced caramel macchiatos, like hot ones, have the shots and caramel poured on top, so when you get it it won't look mixed at all. Just make sure you stir it before you drink. Macchiato, by the way, is pronounced "mah-kee-YAH-toe." This was on they site the other person posted, but it is what I was describing.
order a double shot grande caramel macchiatto (specify whether hot or cold, whatever you prefer) at starbucks and no one will think you're a coffee idiot.
that's assuming you're as much of a coffee addict as I am :) it has 2 shots of espresso so it's big and strong.... the way i like it.
