Does the bad advice about drinking that gets chosen as best answer amaze you also?!
If it weren't for the few people that are actually looking for help, and the few of us that actually put some effort into our answers, I probably wouldn't be here anymore. I don't even bother opening up probably 80% of the questions in this category anymore, there's no point in even wasting my time with them.
Answers: I'm amazed and disgusted almost daily around here. The stupid or downright wrong answers being chosen over the helpful, accurate and correct ones for best answer, the "How do I get a fake ID?" or "How can I buy booze?" questions that don't get deleted, the drug questions, the "I'm drunk, hehehe..." questions, etc.

Yes, lets all become alcohols and die of alcohol poisoning. You really need to lighten up. Nobody loves to drink me than myself. Learn how to understand sarcasm.
It's subjective. You think the answer is poor, but the asker liked it.

Yeah. There's a lot of bad information about drinking.
Many people just learn things from movies or mainstream media, which is sometimes total BS.
Some just ask questions to reinforce their (often false) beliefs and not really to learn the correct answer, so don't take it personally.

Scan this section, you see bad/wrong "advice" all the time. Vodka is still made from potatoes. Tequila has a worm in it. A ten year old bottle of Jack will be stronger then one new from a store. Etc.
In some ways, I am amazed that people can really be that dumb. On the other hand, at least there is a place now where we can "enlighten" those that need it. Perhaps if the truth is told often enough the false beliefs will pass away.
I'm partly amazed and partly reinforced in my cynicism. I guess part of what keeps me answering is to give myself an excuse to find new answers to questions I don't already know the answer to, and to try to help out those who appear to have a genuine interest.
I, too, tune out the crap like "how much of ... does it take to make me drunk" or "how long before I can pass a drug test" ...and the list goes on.
...not to mention all the questions about alchol, alcohal, alcahole, etc.
