Does Lucid Absinthe actually contain Thujone?!
However, Lucid does not tell us how much thujone is actually in the absinthe. Also, I've heard the effects of thujone are debatable and early Absinthes would have passed US standards.
The question is, does having "an amount less" mean there is any thujone at all? It DOES contain Grande Wormwood unlike Absente which contains southern wormwood...so...there is a difference I guess. Anyone know anything else on the thujone level content here?
Answers: According to their website, Lucid "contains an amount of thujone that is within the legal limits set by the US regulatory authorities." The US requires alcoholic beverages to have less than 10ppm or 10mg/kg of thujone to be considered "thujone free" as far as I understand.

Very little. I don't see the amount as worth it, although I have yet to try it. I think I am going to spring for a spendy bottle from Europe with 35 ppm in it.
Try this. It's not too expensive, about twice the price of Lucid.

Lucid contains some, but less than 10 ppm thujone. This is required under US law which considers less than 10 ppm to be ‘thujone free’.
