What the difference between a really chep beer and an expensive beer? I am going to buy beer tomorrow, but don't they all have the same effect? What kind of beer do you recommend? I'm in Dallas. We like Shiner Bock and Fat Tire (taste like chocolate)

Try Leinekugel's Creamy Dark for a great taste that is quite different from the two good beers you mentioned.
Cheap beer generally doesn't taste as good as more expensive beers, but it will get you just as drunk, if that's what you're after.

i personally LOVE beer! all types of beer....from the cheapies like Natural Light to Guiness and Corona....and so on.
And yes, if it contains alcohol then it will have the same effect....raise your BAC level. and if that is the only criteria....then why spend lots of money???

You pretty much get what you pay for with beer. I am in Texas too my husband likes Shiner. I used to like Celis beer made in Austin but they sold the business to a big beer company and it does not taste the same now.

I think that the original beer that doesn't make the cut gets canned into another label and sold cheaper. Take meisterbrau, i think that was its name, anheiser made, tastes like bud but sold cheaper. personally I like blue moon, reasonably priced and very flavorful.
ALL BEER DOES SAME, BUT IF YOU BECOME A BEER CONISURE (spelled wrong) THEN YOU MAY WANT TO GO FOR FLAVOR, AND IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE QUALITY OF HOPS AND MALT!
cheap beer has many additives and is watered down. expensive beer is usually made with Superior ingredients and love.
