Do you think heritage effects drinking?!

Question: For instance I'm; Irish, Scottish and German. All big stereotypical drinkers. Could it effect why I'm so drawn to drinking (mind that i never drink to get smashed, just for fun) my grandmother is really Irish and Scot she drinks whiskey all the time. I LOVE whiskey (mostly southern, but i do love Irish/Scottish whiskey too.) so besides my grandmother do you think heritage plays any role in drinking styes?

Blood lines carry many traits, stress, happiness, and booze its all in there; so live it up, I'll take a vodka tonic.

ohh yeah! i'm half thai- half german. when i drink- i get the worst captain's fever (my head gets really warm- like a mini fever that goes away after a little while). generally speaking, asians can't hold liquer too well. lets just call it a flaw. =D

best of luck

heritage no not really. It is just what you are exposed to. my inlaws are irish and frankly I never saw them drink really. both my parents(hungarian-lithuanian) don't drink ever really and i have a glass once or twice a week.

No I think the enviroment you are around does and if it has been passed down from your ancestors then maybe yeah it does..in a way..
