The best and cheapest Cabernet Savignon Red Wine?!

Question: I drink red wine every night but I am always in a dilemma of which one to buy when i'm at albertsons...they have a big selection. I used to get the SMOKING LOON brand but they bumped up the price a little bit...any suggestions?

If you have Aldi stores in your neighborhood, try them. I've been buying wine from them for years. Good quality at great prices. You can get a good, smooth Cabernet for less than $10. If you're stuck in the $2 range, you're not going to get anything great, but I have nothing against cheap wines. Australia, Chile, Italy and South Africa all put out decent bargain cabernets. Don't pay attention to the wine snobs. Experiment til you find something you like and don't worry about etiquette. If you find a good one for the right price, buy a couple of cases.

i like ironstone cabernet savignon from California at about $8.00 a bottle. Don't know if this is the price range your looking for as I am from Canada and this runs at about $20 a bottle here, so $8.00 is a great deal for us.

Two Buck Chuck out of California.

Red Rose. It's cheap, and delicious. Its a burgundy savignon red caberent, and it's good! Plus the bottle is big like any cheap wine should be! lol!

Two buck chuck AKA Charles Shaw wines....actually, there' $3 here in AZ....

If you drink it every night, I might suggest something in a non traditional container: The box!

Box wines aren't the cheap-assed franzia and almaden you might remember anymore! There are great cabernets available in 3 liter casks (that's 4 bottles worth!) for under 20 bucks, plus they don't go bad quickly.

A few to take a look at are Trove, Black Box, Killer Juice, Wine Cube, Hardys, Delicato, Box Star, and Stonehaven. Try them out, you'll be very surprised!
