technically an LI Ice Tea is equal parts vodka, gin, rum tequila & triple sec w/ a splash of sweet&sour mix or lime juice and a splash of coke...but in my opinion the tropical LI teas are the best...that's raspberry vodka, gin, mango rum, white tequila, peach schnapps, sour mix, cranberry juice and pineapple juice...cheers!

1 shot each gin, rum, vodka, triple sec, splash of sour mix, splash of coke

You're right with the splash of cola...that's the colorant which gives the drink the hue of iced tea.

But aren't you supposed to include three or four different kinds of liquor?

You're just making a wacky margarita, if all your base is, is margarita mix and tequila!

Frankly, I think you could save yourself the time and calories, and just slam your head into a brick wall until your head throbs. That's how you'll feel in the morning from drinking those vile cocktails! :P

Heres some.

shot of rum, vodka, tequila, gin, splash of sour and splash of DP or coke

Use rum, vodka, tequila, gin and triple sec - five liquors, a 1:1:1:1:1 ratio (one for each NY borough!) - plus, they each should be the clear/white versions of the liquors. Add a splash of (Coca) cola to give it color.

1/2 shot vodka
1/2 shot rum
1/2 shot gin
1/2 shot tequila
1/2 shot triple sec

fill to 7/8 full of glass with sweet and sour mix

add coke to color.

or.

fill 7/8 full of glass with half roses lime and seven-up. Add coke to color.

Basically it is the paradigm of a well drink.
