Are there any drawbacks to a glass top humidor?!

Question:

Are there any drawbacks to a glass top humidor?

Are there any drawbacks to a glass top humidor vs non-glass top? Any problems with humidity regulation b/c of the glass or lower performance issues?

Answers:
There are definitely some drawbacks to the glass top humidors...

Glass tops looks nice, but they have a tough time of regulating temperature versus a solid wood humi...

If your are in the market for a humi, I would recommend a solid wood/cedar lined humi...you will have less problems.

FYI: the best way to keep your cigars regulated with humitity is to use boveda packs...they are the best invention ever...they are a 2 way humidity system where if your humi gets too humid, it sucks it into the pack, and if dry it will disperse moisture..they cost about 4 bucks a pack and they last about 4-6 months...when they get hard, you toss em for a new one...

If left in the sun the light can effect the tobacco very badly but kept in a cool dark place there should be no problems.
Good luck!
