What is everyones thoughts on drinking alone?!

Never drink alone. It's pathetic. I drink with my cat.
I kinda got use to it, at first it was depressing but know its a god way to forget how alone I am.
depends on your mood. sometimes you feel like drinking alone and sometimes you feel like drinking with friends. theres nothing wrong with it
As a practice...darned depressing and destructive. However, today it was rainey and very windy and cold... after a hard day of painting ceilings, crampy hands, spasms in my neck and shoulders, and my hubby wasnt home yet, I relaxed in a hot bath with hot cinnamon/orange tea with a genrous slug of rum in it. Boy was I relaxed. I guess you could say it was preventative medicine.
as a matter of fact, i'm drinking alone now... it's not how i planned my weekend to start... and i hope it don't end this way... but right now it's the mood i'm in
as long as you don't drink too much, or too often alone, it's ok
I think its ok every once in a while- after work or something. Its not really great to get hammered by yourself though- although I can't say I haven't done it myself.

Drinking beer and alcohol is depressing. Drinking win by yourself is more acceptable in society. I would drink by myself like take a sip here and there. I wouldn't throw myself a party.
I drink alone often, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's one drink, and it's for pleasure, like hot buttered rum or champagne and sorbet. I really enjoy it, and since I never get drunk alone (I barely run a mild buzz), it's harmless. It'd be stupid if I never permitted myself this simple pleasure just because no one's around.
People who can't control their drinking, or drink to get drunk, have a different situation than mine, however.
I only do it when no one else is around.
I enjoy my own company more often than I do others. Some nights you don't want to bother getting dressed up, dealing with the weather (it has been raining forever here), paying high prices for drinks, and sitting in some bar. (where people are already paired up or caught up watching some sports event)
As long as it isn't your only routine, I don't think having a drink alone is a big deal.
There is a big difference between drinking alone and drinking lonely. Drinking alone can be done at home or out at a bar and the level of intoxication reached means nothing. The whole mindset behind drinking alone is about drinking not being alone. Drinking lonely is a problem generally the drinking is inspired by a feeling of being alone or lonely. The difference being that the drinking alone is done for the sake of drinking while the drinking lonely is to forget about how you feel. Drinking alone is very relaxing no one around to get embarrassed if you drink too much and make an *** of yourself. Drinking lonely isn't depressing is just dumb because all too often we feel lonely for silly insecure reasons we should just get over
I drink almost every night, with friends or without. I don't necessarily get wasted, but I relax and enjoy my alone time. My friend invited me to happy hour tonight, but I preferred to drink some beer and cook for my boyfriend (who is at work). There's nothing wrong with enjoying alone time with yourself, even if it includes drinks. Oh, and you don't have to make small talk, which is a big plus :)

If no one is partying then i'll drink by myself. I don't like too but If i feel like drinking then damn it I don't care if anyone around to enjoy it with me. I used to work midnights and no one wants to drink at 6am lol.
No matter how you drink. Alone or with someone else drink responsibly.And don't drive. That's my opinion,
