Raising the the age to 21 is being discussed in Parliament but no decision has been made as yet.

Not true.... think about the revenue the government would lose if it was true....

LOL

there is nothing you can do about it.

Just wait other 3 years more.

I don't belive thats true. If it is it will cause more harm. Those that already drink will continue and then be considered criminals. I'm sorry your wait has ended like this:-(

I haven`t heard this although I believe some clubs etc. insist on 21 and over and ask for ID

Hmmm... welcome to what Americans deal with.

If it is true, who cares? It's a drinking age and drinking is worthless. It's made to get people happier, dumber, and worthless co-workers.

Don't tell me, the age is being raised on April the 1st? If that was true we;d have heard about it by now.

I know how it feels waiting to turn 18!! But trust me, it's not worth the wait! It gets boring very soon!! I think that setting the age at 21 will be a good step as no offence because I have been there and done all of that, but the 18 year olds in town generally are not very capable of handling drink etc........

I don't know if it's true but the sooner the better.
Most English kids are a buch of piss heads.

It can only do good with this drinking culture of ours!

I don't believe this will be the case. I'm sure it would have been announced officially a lot sooner.

Clap trap to the people who say this would be a good thing, as a health care professional, the majority of people I see with a drink problem are considerably older than 18, 19 or 20. Mostly being in their late 40's and 50's.

hic.

Raising the drinking age from 18 to 21 in the US didn't work and the statistics prove it. Why would the UK do something stupid like that? Besides they dismissed the idea:
