If a martini is on the rocks does it have vermouth?!

Question:

If a martini is on the rocks does it have vermouth?

How do you include the vermouth and when do you add it ?

Answers:
yes, just a dash.

on the rocks, just means with ice...you still make the martini the same way you would normally except you serve it with ice in it.

yes! usually it is just a spritz of vermouth (it comes in a air mist can usually) but if not then about a1/8 of a teaspoon, basically a tiny drop at the end, throw in an olive and its atasty drink! mmm!

A martini on the rocks or "up" may or may not contain Vermouth, it depends on how you ask for it.

The more Vermouth the less "dry".

Vermouth can be added in any quantity. Some people like more than enough, others will have a "whisper" wherein the bartender pours some Vermouth in the glass and then dumps it out, leaving a "film" of Vermouth and then add the Gin ... or vodka ... but that's another answer.

I prefer to skip the vermouth. If you get to much it ruins your tuni.

you add it before you stir it, and yes it has to have Varmoth

Well, if you want it to be a martini....you could go a little lite on the vermouth.. it is all in how you like to drink them.I like like mine dry.I hope that helps you.Have a nice day....
