Lordie, you should live in Britain, over ￡5 a packet now... glad I packed it in 10 years ago.. my grandfather grew his own tobacco, straight up, and no, it wasnt weed, he grew the plants in his garden and dried it and pressed it etc. It was this evil looking black block on his book shelf (it DEFINITELY wasnt weed) that he used to break a bit off and make his own fags... he died when he was 97.. we found the newspaper cutting about grow your own tobacco in his garage... When he was 96 he had a fall, and my Mum phoned me to go and help her pick him up.. The first thing he said to me when I got there is 'roll me a ***, will you?' Think he was quite happy to stay there as long as he could smoke. It definately wasnt weed. (Oh the *** word that been edited out is a quite acceptable slang word for cigarette in Britian, sorry, didnt mean to be offensive.

Dude, I don't know about the Newports, but you can roll-your-own (RYO) with a few inexpensive supplies and it will cost you less than $1 a pack...about $0.70 cents US. If you smoke, they are passable. Godloveya.
