hard to directly pin a date, because it varied in city ordinances. Currently some places still don't allow liquor sales on Sundays. In Baton Rouge, LA you can't...but drink 10 mins over the river and its open season. But overall I'd look at a few years after Prohibition was lifted.

I live in Texas and we still can't buy liquor on Sunday. Well unless you're at a bar.
