For some taste, cheapness and drinkability:
I have been liking the Michelob Amber Bock.

When I feel like saving some cash:
Natural Ice- it's got the higher ABV (8% vs. 5%).
And $6 12 packs is just awesome.

You should go to a brewery and buy a sample set. They will have all different types of beers lights and darks, hoppy and not so hoppy, ales... etc. It really depends on your taste.

My favorite beer is Red Stripe.

If you are just getting drunk, who cares? You are no connoisseur of beer anyway.

If you want to get drunk, don't drink light beer.

If you can find it wear your at try Blue moon.
It has a citrus flavor I didn't think I would like it but it's very good.

If money is a consideration, Keystone Light is good if you got a job. You can drink to your ailing heart's content and still not have much of a hangover in the morning. And, it's so cheap it's like you're ripping of the beer company for a drunk. But if you ain't got a job or a reason to wake up in the early morning, but some high content ale and be expecting a wee bit of a hangover.

You should try out a micro brew I drink local ones and they are my favorite. Ask your local liquor store guy about them.

Try making your own. Its easy. Its fun. The beer is much better than the commercial stuff and you can make 5 gallons for about $25 (thats about 50+ 12oz bottles). There are some upfront costs for some of the equipment but some basic brewing equipment won't cost that much. You might already have some of the things that you need. There are lots of places on the internet to learn to do it. You can also read "Homebrewing for Dummies" or "The New Complete Joy of Homebrewing"

either that or just buy the cheapest stuff you can find and drink till you cant taste it.
