Since I have been 15 everything in my life had to do with alcohol and drugs... the last three years were real bad... but now I am drug free and trying to slow down on drinking.. almost every facet of my life involed beer or vodka....

Congrats - truly!
Your statement about life being boring is just setting up an excuse with yourself to go back to drinking. Why don't you do something along the lines of hiking if the weather is good - find something to do that gets you to work up a sweat and gives you some good scenery at the same time. Boredom is a choice - if you're bored, it's your fault. There is plenty to do out there. Unless you change your attitude about the boredom, you won't stay sober. You might like how you feel when you're drinking, but I guarantee that the people around you prefer how you are now. Good luck.

Me too! Congratulations!

I guess.

I needed a break though.

I don't know if I'll make it through the weekend either.

congrads! keep your head up! sign up for a boxing class or somethign fun to keep you motivated and excited! what about bowling? its a good time! or the movies> keep your mind right, stay away from the boozE!

THREE cheers, thats amazing

Well done! (Although you still got to work on it!)
Congratulations on your progress...couldnt you find another way to enjoy yourself?
Try anything-or just cut down drinking.
Good luck!

Congratulations. Maybe you should try to develop other interests, hobbies, etc. Do some volunteer work in the hospital or nursing home; go some place where you will appreciate being sober.

Congrats! Work on getting to level 5 this weekend. That will keep you busy.

Congrats! Keep up the good work and feel proud! Do tell your friends and family that you are keeping sober and they will support you! This weekend keep busy- yard work, movies, sports, even shopping. Go to dinner at restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol. Do you belong to a gym? Get out and get moving! Go to a park and run, walk skate, or bike ride (hope it's nice where you are).
You will feel so much better, things will be more clear. Your body will thank you on Monday

Me too. (ran out of Vodka and i'm just to lazy to go get some more)
Don't to things with which you normaly drink, eg. if you like to drink while watching tv, stop watching tv, and don't go to places where your compeled to drink, bars, clubs, etc.

You must have been a bad alcoholic, huh?
I am sorry for that, but I do congratulate you on the 5 days!
If I were you, I would go and volunteer somewhere to make yourself feel better.
Or I would go and create a party virtualizer and get drunk off my *** in a safe way.

congrats!! when you've been ten days, let us know, we'll celebrate with you!
keep up the great work; it's hard, but so worth it!

Congrats here also! I didn't make it through your question without a sip.

good for you, try hallucinogenics

congrats ive been sober for almost thirty days, go to aa meeting and jus listen too the peeps there,im on probation on 4th dui and its a wake up call for me, jus cause its five days remeber not to celebrate by drinking, take it one day at a time hang in there budy

yahoo anwsers

GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Now get out in the yard and do some work, go jogging, go play in a local playground on the swings.. do whatever it is that makes you happy that doesn't involve taking another drink. And don't go to bars or parties where alcohol is the main event. It hurts to try to be sober around a bunch of partying drunks.

That is an accomplishment. I don't drink often and have 3 kids so my weekends consist on the library, movies, sporting events and the park. I hope you can find something that will help you stay strong. Maybe go to an AA meeting and get a sponser.
Good Luck

Thats VERY VERY good! Congrats*!!!!!!!

You are doing great. No hard drugs and now giving up alcohol is going to improve your life more than you yet know. Five days is good and remember to take it one day at a time. Seek support from other non drinkers and associate with people that have stopped. The best place is as your probably know the AA. Good luck and continued success.
