My German teacher told us it was either 16 or 14, I dont remember. If your a sophomore or older in high school during Oktoberfest, you can drink a beer at school during lunch.

18 for beer and spirits. As a child you can actually have wine in a restaurant at any age if you are accompanied by a parent.

It is definitely 16 for beer and wine and 18 for spirits. There has been talk of raising it to 18 but this hasnt happened yet.
