Quitting Alcohol so much?!
Answers: Whats the best way to slow down on drinking alcohol without quitting altogether and without going to AA
Some people can decrease the amount that they drink while others don't stop once they start. You could set a limit each night or designate certain nights for not drinking. But you should ask yourself: "Do bad things happen when I drink?" and if the answer is yes someone may decide for you pretty soon. Good luck I know it's hard.
taper down daily half your drinks daily to none ,
Self preservation !!!
i had a problem like u, i joined a gym and got into weight lifting, i have never looked back, i even gave up smoking as well, u need to replace drinking with something practical..otherwise its aa unfortunatly
Enforce some self discipline. Find a new, healthy activity to take it's place.
limit your alcohol intake...thats the best way to start...and as each day goes by,,reduce the volume of your alcohol intake...Set yourself a limit...It is a process so don't rush it up...it takes time though...But you must do it if you want to have a healthier lifestyle...Convince yourself that you could do it not just for yourself, but also for others...but before anything else,,,consult your doctor....hope this helps!!!!
drink coffee instead. And don't smoke too much!
Find something else to do with your time
Yes, taper down is the answer. Make yourself control your intake.
Know that tapering down may affect your mood and/or sleep. Try to exercise more as an outlet to get rid of excess energy and moodiness. Take extra B-Vitamins (they enhance mood and are lost from alcohol use).
Good luck
Find something else that you enjoy and do that. It will be hard to quit, if you addicted. BUT it is possible. Remind yourself how much better life will be when you are sober enough to enjoy it. The first time you travel to a place you have only been to drunk, will be like visiting it for the first time. Good luck
I tried that, but it didn't work for me. I wish it had, but as soon as I start drinking, I just keep drinking. I don't seem to have an inner "cut-off switch." I wish I did. I concluded that I was becoming an alcoholic, or maybe already was one. I finally had to just quit drinking altogether. I wish you great luck in your quest. Let me know if you find the answer!
occupy yourself
a couple a day are ok. just dont drink until after 5.
Don't try to make this a mental thing.. your mind will win and you will keep drinking.. Make it a practical and enjoyable thing.. substitution is the answer.. Switch it out with eating more pu.ssy or gambling or somthing that is fun and good and will take your mind off drinking..
