How long can I leave a 4 ft Sub out at my Super Bowl party? The fridge will be full of beer and wine...?!

Question: I am first of all, not sure how long the Super Bowl lasts. ut, I also don't know enough about food storage and stuff. Can I leave this on a table the whole time the party is going on? It will be in an air conditioned environment of course, but I ordered one with all the fixings and condiments. I don't want it to spoil...please advise:)

Since subs like this come on cardboard, you can set the sub on a row of blue ice things used for coolers. Just make sure you wrap the blue ice things in towels because they will have condensation on them as they thaw and you will end up with a puddle under your sub. Also, mayonnaise spoils very quickly so I would leave that off the sub. You can always keep the mayo on the side and keep the jar in a dish of ice.

Put it on some of those blue freezer packs and it will last a few hours. Out in room temperature it will get nasty in a couple of hours. If you live in the north and it gets cold out put it outside in a shed or keep it in the car where it will stay cold.

It could go bad, you must live in a warm area because you said the air conditioning will be on. Get a large bowl and fill it with ice and put the plate with the sandwich on the bowl and cover the sandwich with plastic wrap. This should keep it safe for the duration. Refrigerate as soon as possible any leftovers.

The general rule is that high protein foods (i.e. deli meats, mayonnaise, etc) with more than two hour at room temperatures can be dangerous.

That being said, most of us are still alive and have not suffered food poisoning often.

put your beer and wine outside and put the sub in the fridge if you live where it's cold outside this time of year

Have it out when the party begins for effect, then cut it in sections that will fit in the fridge.
Take a section at a time and cut it into serving slices and place on a platter. When it is eaten, replace from reserve in the fridge.Do the same with fixings and condiments which might spoil, especially mayonnaise.

2 hours at room temp is the standard limit
Buy a cooler for the beer and wine you don't want your guests getting sick from food poisoning
