I am making homemade red wine its been 10 days and it tastes like wine although very dry. Will it get better?!

Question: Will it get better by itself and less dry or could should I add something to it?

You shouldn't need to add anything to it. If it's been in primary for 10 days then it should be just about ready to rack to secondary. As soon as fermentation slows, you should rack it to secondary (generally 2-4 weeks). Leave it in secondary for another month or two until clear enough to read a newspaper through the carboy. Once clear, rack it again into bulk aging, and let it sit for an additional 2-6 months. The alcohol bite and tartness should mellow with aging.

Feel free to email me if you have any further questions.

Yes! The longer you store it the better it gets with age! Best to just forget about it for a few months then maybe try it!

Yes. It's probably the tannins causing the dryness. As red wine ages, the tannins in the wine will decompose and the taste will mellow out. Add nothing but time and patience. :)
