What types of drink/alcohols go into the following glasses.....?
martini glass- Martini's and Manhattens

rocks glass- Single liquer drinks such as Scotch and Whiskey without Mixers

snifter glass- Brandy and Congac

highball glass- Mixed Drinks like Crown and Coke Etc...

sherry glass- Sherry and Port

martini glass - It's actually called a cocktail glass. It should hold any drink that's served "up" or chilled, but without ice. This includes martinis, cosmos, Manhattans, godfathers, etc.

rocks glass - Technically, any straight alcohol that is served with ice, or "on the rocks". This would be bourbon, Scotch, dry vermouth (yech), etc. Many bars will use rocks glasses for "short" mixed drinks as well.

snifter - Any straight alcohol that is served "neat", or room temperature without water. Often your very best drinks where you want to capture the bouquet of the liquor. This includes good whiskies, Cognac, and other fine spirits.

highball - Meant for "highballs" or combination drinks that had ice, spirits, and mixers, usually soda water or tonic, but can now mean any soft drink or juice. Most bars now only serve mixed drinks in highball glasses that are ordered "tall" or drinks that will not fit into rocks glasses (such as Long Island iced teas). Highballs were originally the home of vodka/tonics and scotch and sodas.

sherry glass - Normally, just sherry, though now commonly used for cordials. Any sweet liqueur that is not accompanied by ice.

Martini=martinis
Rocks= scotches, whiskies, small cocktails like Caiparinas and negronis
Snifter=brandy or liquers like Grand Marnier
Highball=all mixed drinks, Rum and Coke, etc.
Sherry Glass=sherry, or dessert wine like suaternes, or Muscat

Any of them go into the glasses. Is this a trick question? Any barkeep knows the proper glasses
