Question about being a bartender.....?

1)is bartending school hard? and how long does it last?

2) is the job itself hard? or fun?

3) is it hard remembering the names of drinks there ingredients and all the glasses they go into?

Answers:
1, it's a breeze, a day or so to a week, depending where you go...

2, the job can be kind of intense, and remember, there is always clean up, and you are dealing with potentially drunk people who are not rational, which can be a little difficult, keeping track of your money, tabs, cleaning...it can be fun, busy fun but still...it can suck out loud at times, especially if you don't especially want to be there or if you get a stalker...did I mention cleaning?

3, no, you'll find that people order a lot of the same, and most people know if they order a different drink, someone may have to look it up...a lot of people may just want, beer, coolers, wine, rum and coke, vodka and orange, and similar...you'll know the ones people will want...if you are having a drink special, like say on Singapore Slings or something, you'll soon know how to make all the dif types of drinks...

Worked as a Barmaid for a long time...

don't go to bartending school. it's a joke and a waste of money! They can teach you what goes in a drink but they can't teach you how to interact and be a GOOD bartender! The best way to do it is start in a small bar that is willing to hire you with no experience. (this is coming from a bartender of 12 years) The job is very hard. It may look fun but it's work. Getting all the drinks out on time and keeping an eye on your bar...you have to be everywhere all the time! As for remembering the drinks and the glasses , that just comes with time . (faster if u study)

Bartending school is not that hard. If you can read and write you will be ok. The job should be fun and you meet a lot of different people. The remembering is somewhat difficult, but over time it becomes second thougt. Most bars have a book that you can refer to when you get an order that is unusual. The glass type is easy as most bars only have about five to seven different type of glasses.

Na first of all you need your smart serve course.
That is just a video you watch, and take thee test at th same time.
That's step 1.
I must say it could have it's up' & down's, but in general could be intersting.
If ya never done bartending before, ya get used to it.
Ya got let's say your regular's coming in, asking the same drink's wright.
You always have that recepie book with you, behind the bar,
so you can refer to it when neded.
